Three Great Restaurants in Charleston

There are three restaurants that I highly recommend you going to if you are ever in Charleston, South Carolina, FIG(Food Is Good), Virginia’s on King and Magnolias.

FIG had the best appetizers of the three.  I recommend the Johns Island Tomato Tart Tatin and the Brown Shrimp Escabeche.  I loved the Brown Shrimip Escabeche.

Virginia’s on King was real southern family style food.  I recommend the Fried Chicken dinner,  fried okra and the creamed corn for your side dishes.  The creamed corn was delicious.

At Magnolias try the Down South Egg Roll and the Fried Green Tomatoes for your appetizers.  I had the Wild Caught Shrimp and Scallops for dinner.  It came with succotash, rice and a brandied lobster cream.  It was EXCELLENT!

You will definitely need to make a reservation for these restaurants.

I’m not an expert but I think these are the three best restaurants in Charleston.

This little food dude gives:

FIG- 4 Stars

Virginia on King- 4 Stars

Magnolias-4.5 Stars
